Great Sunday lunch?
Get the recipes for it here, but is there someone you're forgetting to invite?
When you see your family regularly, it's easy to forget that the lives of many elderly people are very different. In Britain, one in four live alone and one in six live in poverty. Age Concern's The Great Sunday Lunch Campaign, aims to raise money to fund projects such as lunch clubs and day centres that offer support to older people.
What can you do? Cook a fabulous Good Housekeeping roast dinner for your friends and family on Sunday 19 October (use our recipe finder if you're short of menu ideas) and ask everyone who comes to donate some money to Age Concern.
Call 0845 241 7299 or email greatsundaylunch@ace.org.uk for a pack, which includes invitations and practical tips. If you'd like to donate directly, send a cheque, payable to Age Concern England, to: The Great Sunday Lunch, Astral House, 1268 London Road, London SW16 4ER - or call the number above.
