Marbled chocolate meringues
Ingredients
4 egg whites
125g/4oz caster sugar
100g bar milk chocolate, melted and cooled
You will need: a piping bag fitted with a small star-shaped nozzle and
a baking sheet lined with baking parchment
Great with a cup of tea!

Method
1 Preheat oven to gas mark 1⁄4/110°C (100°C in a fan oven). In a clean bowl, whisk egg whites till stiff peaks form. Gradually whisk in sugar, tipping it in a steady stream as you whisk. Whisk again to form stiff peaks.
2 Drizzle melted chocolate onto meringue mixture, stir once, then spoon into piping bag. Pipe into small swirls onto prepared baking sheet. Bake in oven on bottom shelf for 11⁄2 hours. Allow to cool on baking sheet before serving.
