There's simply no comparison between a shrink-wrapped ‘pasty' (bland, glutinous and full of additives) bought from, say, a motorway service station, and the real deal, steaming hot out of the oven, preferably made in Cornwall itself. At St Ives Bakery, every pasty is made by hand and cooked on the premises, using only the best ingredients, many of them local.
