Ingredients

  • 4  ripe peaches, halved and stoned
  • 25 gram(s) butter
  • 25 gram(s) light muscovado sugar
  • 150 ml (¼ pint) dessert wine or orange juice
  • 25 gram(s) amaretti biscuits, crushed

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C (200°C fan) mark 7.
  2. Put the peach halves into an ovenproof dish, cut side up, and dot the fruit with the butter.
  3. Sprinkle over the light muscovado sugar and pour over the dessert wine or orange juice. Scatter over the crushed amaretti biscuits and cook for 8-10min until the peaches are soft and the butter and sugar have melted.
