  • 4 large green chicory heads
  • 8 slice(s) honey roast ham
  • 8 slice(s) Gouda cheese
  • 15 gram(s) (½oz) fresh brown breadcrumbs

Method

  1. Bring a large pan of water to the boil. Cut chicory heads in half lengthways and simmer for 3-5min until just tender. Drain well.
  2. Preheat grill to medium. Wrap each cooked chicory half in a slice of ham and arrange, cut-side down, on a baking sheet. Lay a piece of cheese over each chicory half and top with some of the breadcrumbs. Grill for 3-5min until piping hot and golden. Serve with crusty bread.
