Prima low-fat desserts - Limoncello granita

Ingredients

  • 200ml/7fl oz lemoncello liqueur
  • finely grated zest and juice 2 lemons
  • 300ml/1?2 pint slimline tonic water
  • 6 tablespoon(s) granulated sweetener (we used Splenda)

Method

  1. Pour lemoncello liqueur into a large sealable container. Stir in lemon zest and juice, tonic water and sweetener. Stir to combine. Freeze for a couple of hours. Alternatively, pour into an ice cream machine and churn till mixture has frozen into icy crystals.
  2. To serve, remove container from freezer for about 25 mins, to soften, then break up lemon ice with a fork till grainy. Scoop into chilled glasses to serve.
