Ingredients

  • A little butter to grease
  • 50 gram(s) short-grain pudding rice
  • 568 ml carton full-fat milk
  • 2 tablespoon(s) golden caster sugar
  • Zest of 1 small orange
  • 1 teaspoon(s) vanilla extract
  • 1 whole(s) nutmeg to grate

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (160°C fan oven) mark 4.
  2. Lightly grease a 900ml (11/2 pint) ovenproof dish. Add the pudding rice, milk, sugar, orange zest and vanilla extract and stir everything together. Grate the nutmeg all over the top of the mixture.
  3. Bake the pudding in the oven for 11/2hr or until the top is golden brown.
