10 QUICK AND EASY DESSERT RECIPES

1 large passion fruit
2 2 tbsp icing sugar (or to taste)
Juice of 1 orange
1 medium mango
4 kiwi fruit
12 seedless red and green grapes
4 thick slices sponge cake
400mls ready-made custard
3½fl oz double cream, softly whipped

Scrape the seeds from the passion fruit into a large mixing bowl. Mix together with the icing sugar and orange juice.
Peel and dice the mango into 1cm (½in) pieces; peel and finely dice the kiwi, then add to the passion fruit mixture with the grapes. Chill until just before you are ready to serve.
To assemble the trifles, place the cake and fruit salad in dessert bowls or glasses. Pour over the custard, top with a dollop of cream and serve at once.
