Instant hit
For a snazzy dessert sauce for four, melt 75g (3oz) milk chocolate and 75ml (3fl oz) double cream in a bowl over just-simmering water. Stir in a little cayenne pepper. Just add ice cream!
Speedy greens
Here's a fast and easy way to cook fresh spinach: pile it into a colander placed in the sink. Pour over a kettle-full of freshly boiled water. Leave to drip for a minute, then season and serve.
Fishy business
Frozen fish is a fantastic money-saving option and perfect if you're in a rush, as you often can cook it straight from frozen - just check the instructions on the pack.
