  Good points: Straightforward push button ignition. For maximum control, each burner has independent ignition. Even heat coverage, producing good results. Useful warming rack above the grill. Flare-ups from food drippings give foods an appealing char-grilled flavour.

  Comments

  Good points: Push button ignition. Very straightforward to build. 4 wheels, 2 you lock for safety so there's no movement. Attractive in design, has a door. Very sturdy. Excellent results for grilling burgers. Sausages and chicken were cooked well but a little uneven in colouring.

  Comments

  Good points: Gorgeous and compact, portable design. Excellent results for grilling burgers, sausages and chicken, although in our tests, heat distribution from the grill was uneven. Easy push button ignition. Built-in gas regulator makes it extremely easy to attach portable gas canister (sold separately, £29.99 for 2). Hose and regulator are also optional extras for connection to a 5-13kg gas canister. Retractable legs and easily portable. Has a lock on the handle for safe transportation.

  Good points: Very good results for grilling burgers and chicken breasts. Drawbacks: Push button ignition but button was awkward, had to repeatedly press quickly in order to ignite. Not straightforward to build. Quite basic in appearance. Sausages were uneven in browning.

  Good points: Good storage - side wings and table. Lid acts as windshield. Useful warming rack above grill. Drawbacks: Where charcoal sit in tray, does not enable full use of grill so food needs to be placed centrally. No handles on grill, comes with grill lifting handles.

  Comments

  Good points: Retractable legs. Handle on grill. Handle to carry whole BBQ as a bucket. Drawbacks: Basic in appearance. Tin to place charcoal in but is not large enough to cover whole grill, therefore food items need to be placed centrally and cannot fit large amounts. Did not evenly brown chicken as coals did not last long enough. No instructions.
