  Good points: Coped well on both hard fruit such as apples and softer berries and bananas. The tap drains thick and thin smoothies equally well and there's a pouring lip on the goblet.

  Drawbacks: Did not crush ice very evenly. Lightweight jug tricky to locate on motor housing.

  Good Points: This powerful juicer was quick to juice with the minimum of effort. Whole fruit such as apples and tomatoes fitted easily into the feed tube. Apple juice had a sweet pleasant flavour. Both the carrot and tomato juice had a very smooth texture and fresh flavour. Easy to assemble. Large pulp container to collect the waste.

   Drawbacks: Apple juice quite fibrous

  More like a blender than a smoothie maker as there is no tap and there are seven programmes for blending thing such as mayonnaise and batter although there is a specific smoothie setting which worked well. The results were uneven on the ice crush setting.

  Needs a lot of pressure to juice apples and carrots, some getting stuck. Debris gets trapped under the lip of the filter basket, making it hard to clean. The citrus press is powerful but splashy and quite time consuming as you have to switch it off after pressing each half. Apple juice slightly watery in texture and quite sweet. Smooth textured carrot juice with tangy aftertaste. Tomato juice is very thick textured and quite tart.

Easy to pull apart for cleaning. Very sweet apple juice with smooth texture. Carrot juice is very smooth with little sediment and sweet flavoured. Tomato juice a little watery with strong tomato flavour.
