Cleavers is a great way to boost your digestive system the natural way
The tender, young shoots of cleavers, or goosegrass, have a fresh pea-like flavour and were traditionally used as a cleansing spring tonic and added to soups and stews in a bid to improve digestive health. The reason for this is that the plant has a mild laxative effect, kick-starting a sluggish digestion but something to be cautious of if you are using the seeds as a coffee substitute.
