The G Plan business was started by Ebenezer Gomme over 100 years ago, and in the 1950s it began to produce G PLAN furniture. The furniture was based on Danish designs, which were very fashionable after the Second World War. In the 1950s and 1960s, G Plan was seen as the height of modernity and practicality. The nests of tables were particularly popular in British homes because they were ideal for sitting in front of the television and having dinner. What luxury! The old style G Plan furniture is becoming very collectible and the firm has now reintroduced some of the timeless old designs...
