Stain of the week: squashed fly
Hot or cold water? Scrub or scrape? A little know-how gets the best results when fighting stains...
REMOVING SQUASHED FLY STAINS FROM CLOTHES
Soak immediately in cold, salty water (1-2 tablespoons salt/1 litre water). Then wash using biological washing detergent. If the stain remains or is old, soak in a plastic bucket of cold salted water for several hours, then wash as usual. For very persistent stains soak in a tepid solution of biological washing powder; wash as normal.
