Kirstie Allsopp crowned Best Home Celebrity

Kirstie Allsopp stole the votes in the reader-selected category, beating off competition from much-loved architect and presenter George Clarke who was runner up. Both Jamie Oliver and Alan Titchmarsh were also shortlisted for the award.

The House Beautiful Awards 2010 were this year held in the regal surroundings of the Royal Opera House, London. The awards comprised 24 categories, commending not only the UK's top TV personalities but also 2010's best household products and home retailers.

In addition to the three reader-voted awards, an impressive panel of judges, including home experts Kelly Hoppen, Jeff Banks, Simon Boyle, Sophie Conran, David Domoney, Oliver Heath, Kathryn Rayward, Tommy Walsh, Kim Woodburn and Jane Packer joined forces with House Beautiful Editor Julia Goodwin to select a further 21 category winners.
