Hurray, we did it!
Team SHE ran the BUPA 10K to raise funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital.
She team at Bupa 10k
On 30 May, a group of SHE readers and staff took to the streets on gloriously Sunday morning, pounding along the Thames, up through the city and doubling back to the finish line in St Jamess Park. It was such privilege to run along the closed-off city streets, says SHEs deputy editor Rachael. Were not regular runners, but it was great fun, SHE reader Wafa Saleh adds. The crowed was very supportive and rummaging through the goodie bags at the end brought out the big kid in us.
And what a goodie bag it was! Palmers kindly provided two gorgeous creams from their Butter formula range: Cocoa and Olive. To help keep us cool and pampered, Palmolive donated their Soft and Gentle deodorant and Palmolive Aromatherapy shower gel. And the SHE goodie bag also contained Madara hand cream, Vaseline Petroleum Jelly, and lets not forget the Yummy Metcalfes Skinny Top Corn. What a great guilt-free snack!
A huge thank you to everyone who got involved. Team SHE raised a whopping £1,000 to help with essential redevelopment of GOSH, and sponsorship for our readers are still flooding in. Remember, you can still make donations at Gosh.org.
Back at SHE HQ, we couldnt have felt more proud of everyone who took part and we cant wait to do it all again next year.
