I am now 66 and have been on HRT for 30 years, frist I had  the inplant   then the patch , I was  taking the oestrogeon only. I thought I would come off it ,so four weeks ago stopped it cold  turkey, I felt wonderful whilst on it now suddenly all the aches and pains the dreadful hot feelings at night and many times in the day , the headaches  , all are returning  with a vengence so I am seriously thinking of going  back on it. I also have fibromyalgia which deosnt help matters

What do others  sugggest after all 30 years is a long time and I felt wonderful on it except for weight gain.

Hi lioness
Sorry for the late reply - hope you get this.

Have only just started HRT myself so no experience to share about stopping it but I have found a wonderful website called www.menopausematters.co.uk

Lots of useful info plus great forums with lots of active, friendly, informed members. If you post on the New Members forum, you're sure to get lots of helpful replies.

Maybe I'll see you there!

All the best

Bixby x
