hI&nbsp; Ladies, I have not been able to get to the gym recently and now need to lose half a stone to feel healthy.&nbsp; am goign to combine yoga, walking an swimming with a healthy die to lose one

hI  Ladies,

I have not been able to get to the gym recently and

now need to lose half a stone to feel healthy.  am goign to combine yoga, walking an swimming with a healthy die to lose one pound aweek and get my BMI down from 25 to 24.

Good for you, Kixley - I too and on the weightloss path, and although my BMI is already in the 24s, I've got to shed the excess.

I'm going back to my gym, and I'm eating sensibly and Not Drinking Alcohol since it always puts on weight for me.

Good for you. Walking is one of the best exercises to do. I have just joined the Woman and home diet club (oops competition) it is great as it gives you a food plan and works out what you have eaten for the day and also works out how many calaries that you have burnt when exercises.

Lots of suggestions for recipes as well. Good luck.

I have a personal trainer who puts together a plan for me each month to do when the kids are at school. He suggests alot more cardio work.

So when you are out walking maybe up the pase a bit that will help with the calorie burning and is a good cardio workout that costs you nothing at all.

Hi everyone,

 Good luck with your weight loss and I shall try again too, I just couldn't admit what my BMI is but it is more than 30 and I am not proud of it.

Due to health problems I find exercise difficult and painful but I am determined to bite the bullet and eat more healthily because I have several stones to lose and any weight loss must be a bonus.

 

I am not as green as I am cabbage looking .......

Hi Ladies, thanks for your posts.I managed to get to the gym today and yesterday I made smoothies with fruit and one of the excess cucmbers. I am eating fish and the mange tous. I feel my waist already is less bloated, despite a bad period at the moment. I put on muscle easily so It may be better to measure inch loss than weight loss but I probably will do both.

Hi.  Well done you on making that decision.  I lost almost 3 stone and kept it off for a couple of years but a few pounds have crept back on recently and I need to nip that in the bud fast!  I exercise almost daily (cross trainer, walking, wii, salsa) and eat healthy meals but I am a 'nibbler' - crisps and chocolate brazils are my downfall.  Shall we have a regular weigh in day and catch up once a week to see how we're all doing?

Good idea love the sun.We are more likely to keep to our targets then. I weighed myself at 9 stone today.

Hi,

I'd like to join you as well, I've put on a stone over the past few months so I definitely need to get rid of that and maybe another 1/2 stone too.

I used to walk to and from work everyday unless the weather was foul, but following a knee injury earlier this year I have been using the bus more often, so getting back into the habit of walking everywhere again is something I must do, as I can't really afford to join a gym etc at the moment, I weighed myself a few days ago and I'm about 11 stone 5.
