Does anyone know where I can get vegetarian gelatine.&nbsp; Tesco's and Sainsbury do not have them and neither have Holland &amp; Barratt.

Does anyone know where I can get vegetarian gelatine.  Tesco's and Sainsbury do not have them and neither have Holland & Barratt.

Hi there, I can't help sorry, just interested to know that such a thing exists! What I wouldn't give for vegetarian cola bottles or marshmallows or jelly! Please help us, someone!

It is stocked by some branches of Sainsburys [cos I have bought it there]

thanks for the tip - i've just looked and you can also get it from sainsbury's online groceries. the one they have is by either dr oetker or supercook (the picture and wording seem to contradict each other!). will be trying it out!

Surprised you can't get it at any of those, they have it in my local Tesco and H&B.  Tried your local health food shops?  Look for Agar Agar or Carrageen, not gelatine.  Try this link, which compares and explains them.   http://www.vegsoc.org/info/gelling.html

Now, I've not long seen a recipe for veggie marshmallows, so if I can find it again, I'll post a link.
