You shouldn't have let him watch Victor Meldrew, Yelir. It kinda gave them permission to be like that.

BB's right. If you let them do ruffty tuffty things like chainsawing, it improves them no end. Mind you, mine's not to be trusted with anything like that. Can't you find an excuse to kick him out to the shed?

How about barter, Yelir? I'll swop you son for a month!

Alternatively, how about setting up in business - kennels for teenagers & kennels for grumpy old gits - we'd make a killing, LOL!!

Thing is Mumsie they would probably both behave! Mine can be quite pleasant when talking to other folk giving false impressions! I bet your son can be perfect when he wants!

The kennels I still think is a good idea!

Bideshi. BB, he did venture out to garage but now says its too cold , so I guess thats garage pursuits over for the winter , he has a heater out there , but is getting soft in his old age.

I guess I just never thougth retirement would be like this, I saw my Mum and Dad going out every day and ejoying each others company, they used to go away for short breaks too, but OH is welded to his chair, all he does is watch tv and play computer games.

He says he has worked all his life and is now entitled to, and is quite happy doing nothing .

sorry for moan, just feeling a bit sad, his first words this morning was to complain, then he asked later if I wanted a cup of tea, so thats 2 short "conversations" in 2 hours, what other joys will the day bring?

Oh Yelir, I so know where you are coming from.  Himself never starts the day with a good word, not even good morning!  His feet hit the floor moaning!

The latest is its my fault the cat has a bald patch, I must make him nervous that he licks his fur off!!!

Trying really hard to get my head around this one.  I feed him, I brush him, I worry when he's out late, I made a little step to help him through the catflap, I made him a shelter over his favourite toilet patch so he wouldn't get wet (which he uses I may add), I wash his bedding and make it cosy and warm for him by the radiator.

So how can it be my blessed fault he has a bald patch??

I am so dreading himself's retirement.

Mine isn't a talker,he doesn't moan much, but that's only because he doesn't talk much either! Can't you sabotage the TV and hide the games control? I'd swap mine for yours for a couple of days, but,we live too far away.Hope things improve. FW.
