Hi Ladies,

What a lazy day I've had, just knitting and watching TV by the fire and giving Andy a tickle now and again.  Just about to make some chilli, thought it might help himself's cold.

How has your days been?  I see the good news of the day is Minty is back home, lovely for you Dell.

Also notice Chippy popped in, just can't keep away can you Chippy lol!

Donna thank you for all the jokes and funnies, you are an angel to try and cheer us up.

Pond did you enjoy your swim, hope it wasn't too crowded for you today.

Gizmo how's they mouth?  Hope it doesn't hurt now the pain killer has worn off.

Bideshi how are you feeling, did you need to take a nap?  Hope the Prof isn't getting on your nerves now he's home.

Hi, Pat, I've been a busy little BB! We left the little pig and just bought a bit of its hind leg!

Since we got back from the market, I have been cooking. Mr BB has been helping - no, really helping! He skinned 15 chicken thighs for me, and has taken the meat off 2 huge turkey legs -I'd have hated to have met that turkey on a dark night! - for the freezer. I have, in the last three days, cooked up, in various ways, 3kg of beef, and 2kg of chicken. I also have a huge pot of stock going at present, using all the poultry carcases I kept in the freezer. So I haven't had a lazy day today!

I am about to go and knit, in a quiet and steady fashion, in front of the fire, as it has gone dark and nasty-looking again. I may make it to the pond before the light goes, just to see how it is getting on.

Sir Charles is in bed. He got up and spent an hour or so outside, but onlywhilst the sun made a feeble attempt at an appearance.

Mr BB's cheese scones were very good, by the way. He now wants me to teach him to make the date and walnut cake. Should I be worried?

You see, Yelir - just starve the brutes.  If the chainsaw thing doesn't work, maybe cake deprivation will?

Hope you are all keeping your heads down, whist this weather lasts. It seems to have stretched all across Europe, if Donna and Cassie are getting it too. Well, it is November, after all.

Must go and check the stock.

Love, BB

Pat,

I thought I was going today but it seems not, so I may just be the occasional visitor, I know..

I cannot keep up with you, feel sleepy just reading your 'doings'.

I did the bathroom, but hope to do some cross stitch tonight, have just had my rest for this afternoon, just seem to be getting tireder and tireder at the moment.

Hello BB, sounds like you have had a productive day too.

Hope you and everybody enjoys their evenings.

Take care

Chippy

Hi, folks

Pat - a lazy day is just what I need at the moment.

Gizmo, hope the sore mouth soon feels better.

Cassie and everyone else suffering from the wet stuff, hope the rain  stops for you soon.

Bideshi, hope you managed to get a nap today.  Insomnia is horrible.  I usually get up and do a crossword or something other than read a book.

I have been to my SIL's father's funeral today.  He was 83 and had been ill for a few months.  He had cared for his wife for about ten years until she died last year, he was a nice man.

Then went and did the weekly shop this afternoon instead of tomorrow, because the plasterer's coming tomorrow and OH wasn't sure he could cope with the plasterer and the dog by himself.  I have a feeling that the dog might enjoy a car ride and an hour walking along the canal or the local country park instead of our usual grimy, busy, local park.  That should get him out of the way for an hour or so.  Hope it doesn't rain too much, Scamp doesn't like the rain, but does sit nicely to be dried (especially when he gets a treat afterwards).  Twinkle, on the other hand, hates the rain like most cats and looks up expecting me to turn the tap off before he goes out.

Anyway, I'll go and see what else has gone on today and hope everyone has a good evening and sleeps well tonight.

Love & Hugs

Another lazy day person, here!

So why am I tired??

Made soup and knitted Teds heads , this icicle wool is quite stiff to work with so it takes longer but the last one looked good, will get a pic of this one before it goes! There is a grey one too for my nieces birthday later this month.

OH had been keeping a low profile, quite chatty over dinner!! He always knows when hes gone too far but never says sorry, just tries to be nice!  We'll see how it lasts! lol

I hope everyone achieved  all they set out to!

Hi Pat, Enjoy your lazy day. I have made a snail finger puppet today called Hugo and discussed the Russian revolution. Still teaching then art club to get rid of academic stress.

Got rid of Mother in Law. The height of her stay was when we were standing in the queue at Tescos and a heavily made up babe, nearly wearing a  grey micro mini dress with sequins on it was packing her goods at the till. Mother in Law at the top of voice shouts

I DIDN'T KNOW WE HAD STREET WALKERS IN KNOWLE.

Daughter in law rushes her out very quickly.  Don't they embarass you?

Have a good evening everyone.

Reminds me of taking my Mum to see the school play in our multicultural area when the children were small.

In loud voice "Aren't there a lot of black people here".  Talk about curl up in a ball and disappear.  I could have done that.

Needless to say, I never invited her to the school again.

Your lazy day sounds just the thing. I hope your headache is better now.

Just the usual work day for me and then when I got home the chain came off the toilet and I cant fix it so I am waiting for the plumber who is supposed to turn up sometime tonight.

Good news about little Minty coming home isnt it.

Hi ladies, well as you know i managed swimming this morning and it was lovely to go and it wasn't too busy either.

I popped into town to post that letter to Sky and got a few bits, i was pleased i went into Boots, as they had the Sun & Swim shampoo and hair masque 2 for £4.00 which is good as they are usually £3.22 each so i bought some.

Came home and popped some veg and diced beef into the slow cooker and left that to simmer away.

That's about all i have done today...mind it is enough for me with swimming, i can't do too much else i would be laid up for a few days!

You would have just laughed...try and picture the scene. Daughter was giving my feet a little massage with foot oil as they are so dry with swimming today, anyway she was taking off my nail polish to reapply some new, and the pups came around sniffing. Well the next minute they were both jumping about and sniffing like crazy and we were in stitches laughing at them.

Then we realised they had sniffed at the cotton wool which was soaked in nail polish remover!!!

Oh we have had a laugh, they were so funny, and for a few minutes after Molly was sulking and wouldn't come near us!

xx
