Mine's been lazy.  Tried to sort out a Christmas list with limited success.  Otherwise, have done b*****r all.

We had a fairly quiet night last night, even so the animals were kept in.  Twinkle was crossing his legs too, and finally went out for half-an-hour at about 10.30.  More tonight and tomorrow night, I expect.

Spoke to my sisters yesterday.  One is OK, but the other one could hardly speak with the dreadful cold she's got, caught from her OH.  So bad I'll have to ring her again at the weekend when she can speak.

I've read the daily post but can't remember most of it.  LL, glad your scare was only a scare even if you feel ill.  Hope everyone else suffering will soon feel better and that everyone has a good weekend.

I have had a quiet afternoon after shopping this morning. I hate shopping. The only shops I enjoy are hardware shops or yarn/fabric shops.

I think the wet weather has stopped a lot of firework "fun". Thank goodness. It was like WW3 last year. I am sure the bangers are getting louder.

Apart from the weekly shop and a dash to the workshop to deliver something himself needed urgently, I've had a lazy day too.

And it continues because himself has offered to "cook" tonight, which actually means he'll go for a takeaway lol!!

Just knitting and chatting online all day, but I must get my bum into gear next week and actually get something constructive done.

Not done much at all today.

I lay down on the sofa earlier and feel asleep! So unlike me to sleep during the day! I must have needed it...only about half an hour.

Other than that i have been playing on my DS, writing a few cards, and wrapped a couple more pressies.

Could not get on the internet for love nor money this morning Was trying to leave a message to say i was waiting for DD to come with her maid of honour with her dd who is flowergirl to try on her dress and she is actually fitting it better so it wont need a lot of it taken up and a hoop put in so that is good! DD also inspected the favours that we are keeping here in the cool for her [ they are chocolate] so we had a good morning then i went to my Mams and took her out to the shop for bits and pieces took 3 of her skirts on my way home to a local seamstresses shop to get taken up as my Mam finds them too long now So it has given them some business and wont break the bank

So im relaxing tonight as i cleaned the house this morning and got towels washed and tumble dried so will sit with my feet up as even my Mam remarked that i was wincing at times today

Have a good evening

love Denise xx

Had a good afternoon at hospital - kept going but not too many big queues or paninis (I hate heating paninis!!). Managed to clear up before I left so not faced with a mess afterwards.

Going to finish the premmie cot blanket I'm knitting tonight & just watch tv - whatever is on. And I've got a big bag of maltesers by my side........

Had a more productive day than yesterday. Got caught up with the housework and started sorting out some drawers that rarely get opened but had lots of stuff  I'd  'put away'  in there. Found some gifts I can use for presents also a three bags of nice wool I had forgotten about.

LL I hope you are feeling a bit better now since your scare, not nice to have to go to A&E but thankfully they were able to put your mind at rest.

Can't hear any fireworks so far tonight, hope the weather is keeping things quiet.

A mixed sort of a day - highs and lows. The prof and I went off this afternoon to pick up some paint that had been recommended for my bathroom, where condensation is a problem.

The assistant said 'Check out the price before you commit yourself...' Cripes! £47 for a 3 litre tin. I thought his nibs was going to start hyperventilating. But I pointed out that otherwise you use ordinary paint and re-paint every year, so it's false economy. He's still disgruntled, though.

Then he comes up with a real humdinger of an idea. We've been costing staircarpet for our very long stairs, and it has to be a central strip because we[ve got these very lovely Victorian barley-sugar twist stair rods.

Then the prof say 'How about we use a non-slip paint on the stairs?' and I say 'What's the point? we only walk on the carpeted bit anyway...' and then the horrible realisation dawns that he actually means Instead of stair carpet. Can you believe it? In my beautiful old house? What a plonker.

Those bl**dy W's always had plenty of money, and not a shred of taste - that was worthy of his father, who'd spent a fortune on a boat but took a huff if my MIL spent more than a pound per yard on curtain fabric.

So, small explosion from me, sulks from himself because he's realised he's just said something utterly idiotic!

But then we got home and found Dawa in a state because his passports had come back (Immigration's had them for months) with no visas in them. So he's worked himself into a state thinking the police are going to bundle the whole family onto a plane at dawn.

Then we find the letter, which says that new identity cards will be arriving in the post. Great News! It means he's ticked all the boxes, got through without an interview, and is actually one step closer to being able to apply for citizenship. So something to celebrate for once.
