where is the Wizard of Oz when you need him

went to the hospital today to have a heart monitor fitted,I have to wear it for 7 days, sounds simple doesn't it, They fitted the monitor.tested it, NO HEART BEAT, must be faulty the cardioligist said, well 5 monitors later still NO HEART BEAT, I am alive I asked, not dreaming all this.They laughed,sent for a more senior person,3 more heart monitors later, still not registering any heart beats, so they have sent me home wearing a monitor,and I have to go back in 7 days time and they will take the moniter off me and put it into the computer, and they hope !!! it will have monitored my heart,if not,they will use plan "B" I feel like the "Tin Man" in the wizard of oz( If I only Had A Heart) LOL

Good luck with the monitor GB. Watch out for the Wicked Witch of the West.!!!! aka Matron...or whatever they are called nowadays. |

Something is seriously amiss if 8 of them don't register your heartbeat GBs - I mean with the monitors, not you, maybe they had no batteries or else they were flat. (It's a bit like the rail tapper who condemned 4 miles of track before he discovered his hammer was cracked! )
Good luck with yours anyway, hope they find out why you keep passing out.

Doesn't inspire much confidence, does it? I just hope there is a reading after you wearing it for a week, GB. Perhaps you would be better relying on OH to place his hand on your heart at frequent intervals....... mumsie xx

I got woken up at 3am by what I thought was a neighbours car alarm,I lay there thinking please turn it off.when I suddenly realised it was my heart monitor,it had become unstuck,I stuck it back on and the siren stopped.Well, I suppose that shows it's working. lol

Typical that the annoying bits work and the useful bits don't. Maybe you're one of those people (like me) that conventional watches don't work on, and it's the same with heart monitors. It's our electric personalities!
