Hi Girls,

There I was , in the kitchen cooking a sunday roast as you do, when there was a HUGE bang, [I thought I had been shot..LOL] and the cooker stopped working........all the lights are on, the grill is working, but the part I needed to finish my roast......kaput!!!

So we are now having a stew for dinner, and tomorrow I am shopping for a new cooker!!

Something like this as its almost the same as I already have......poor OH is almost crying as we just started to remodel the bathroom ,so this is just something we didnt need to happen right now!!

Hugs

Why is it that these things seem to find the most inconvenient time to implode, explode or just give up the ghost.  Hope you find just the one that you want and it doesn't damage the bank balance too much. x x

Blimey Ros you don't do things by halves do you?

Love the new cooker mind, I'd love one that big.

One of our cookers stopped working Christmas day once, the gas was lit but it wasn't cooking.  Himself and number 1 spent most of the morning with their heads in the over trying to mend it, they got it working but I couldn't be sure what the tempature was lol!

Enjoy your new cooker when you get it.

You could get it mended, Ros - but a new one would be much better, and so much more reliable...

Enjoy your stew! BB

It looks a lovely cooker Ros, I dont get very excited about cookers though, mine is a biult in thing and its hopeless,

was new 5years ago with the house but I tend to use microwave wich has a convection oven in it, and avoid the big one like the plague, it has to be used at times though when a big meal gets cooked for visitors,

Sorry its going to be an expensive time for you just now; but it is nice!

I bet it gave you a real fright.  Hope you can get a replacement in the sale, at least it happened before Christmas dinner had to be cooked.

I don't have a conventional oven at all in my kitchen, like Yelir, I have one of these combination ovens that microwave and convection cook at the same time.  It works for us because there is only the two of us.

Ros, enjoy your new cooker, i love it.

JW, my mum has a free standing one, when she had her new fitted kitchen she would not have a  built in one put in...i know what she means though as i think they are so much better, than the fitted in ones.
